Lumba For Lady In Red V’Day Bash

Celebrated musician Daddy Lumba will on Sunday treat fans to a spectacular night of music as he performs live at the National Theatre in Accra.

The event is part of this year’s Val’s Day celebration, to ensure that lovers enjoy the best romantic but preferential entertainment. The event is being organized by Budget Cash&Carry Limited.

The occasion is to also officially outdoor the company’s latest Lady In Red Wine, a special wine, for this year’s Val’s Day celebration and any other occasion. Lady In Red Wine entered the market a few weeks ago from Germany, where it is produced.

Ghana Music Awards Festival 2010

Praye had awardThe Ghanaian entertainment industry will be buzzing with excitement once again as Charterhouse, event organisers of the annual Ghana Music Awards Festival, begins working with stakeholders in the industry towards instituting the 2010 edition.

Stakeholders are thus encouraged to send in entries of songs and albums that were released during the year under review; that is 30 November 2008 to 30 November 2009, to be considered for awards. Officials will also be collecting entries from vantage points, including recording studios, music hot spots and selected radio stations across the country.

Earthquake awaken calls to help Haiti

PrayeAlliance Francaise was on Saturday night jam-packed with music lovers who thronged the place for a ‘Solidarity Concert for Haiti’ organised by Creative Storm.

The concert, Haiti – Ghana Response, saw some of the big names in Ghanaian showbiz performing for free to raise funds for worried Haiti.

Blakk Rasta, Wanlov Kuborlor, Praye, Reggie Rockstone, Kojo Antwi, Becca, KSM, Kwabena Kwabena, Wutah and Gyedu Blay Ambulley were among the artistes and personalities that graced the show.

Haiti was hit by a 7.0-magnitude quake on January 12, one of the worse earthquakes to have hit the country in two centuries. About 200,000 lives have been lost with many more rendered homeless.

Movie stars in vagina show

History would be made in Ghana on the 19th and 20th of February this year when TV Africa’s sensational presenter and celebrated film star, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku joins other celebrities in a public vagina show.

The new kid on the block, Lydia Forson, is reported to have agreed to join Naa Ashorkor in the vagina show and many Ghanaians are waiting impatiently for the interesting spectacle.

News One gathered that the two young but popular Ghanaian actresses would be embarking on the show to mark the ‘World Vagina Day’ aimed at popularizing the usage of the word ‘vagina’ and demystify the contempt associated with it.

In an interview with News One, Naa Ashorkor confirmed she would be participating in the show and explained: “It is an educative event.

Jasmine Seyram Akorshie representing Miss Zenith College walked away with the coveted prize as Face of Tertiary 2009, Friday night at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The night saw 18 beauty queens representing Zenith College, University of Ghana, Accra Polytechnic, Wisconsin University, University of Education Winneba, Institute of Professional Studies, Central University College, Ghana Institute of Journalism, Kumasi Polytechnic, Bolgatanga Polytechnic, University of Development Studies, Cape Coast University, Catholic University College, among others contesting to crowned Face of Tertiary 2009.
